Orente’s journey began long before her business launched. As a passionate advocate of traditional herbal medicine, she inherited a deep understanding of its healing power and cultural value.
In 2020, she officially founded Òrènté Alágbo, a wellness brand committed to making herbal remedies accessible, authentic, and trustworthy.
Like many Nigerian entrepreneurs, she started with nothing but grit, belief, and returning customers. But soon, her digital growth hit a roadblock—her advertising account was flagged, leaving her unable to run paid promotions. Without visibility, sales dwindled.
From Full-Time Hustle to a Full-Circle Moment
Frustrated but not defeated, Orente took a 9-to-5 job to stay afloat. Yet the fire never went out. Even while working full-time, she enrolled at the University of Lagos to study herbal medicine. She recently completed her final exam, further deepening her expertise in the field she loved.
But something was still missing—alignment. Despite working hard, she wasn’t fulfilled. Her income didn’t match her input, and the vision she carried for Òrènté Alágbo remained dimmed. Then came the boldest decision of her journey so far: she resigned.
She was ready to bet on herself—and that’s when our paths crossed.
